GOALS AND VISION

Luka Keunen (21) is a student from Brussels, Belgium. He started playing with cameras from a young age and they have captivated him ever since. Now he trying to combine photography with the world of music and fashion. He hopes to bring projects to life with his creativity and his attention to detail. He has worked at the Rampage Festival and also been part of the styling team of several singers such as Coely, Babet, ect.

Luka has been working on various projects since a young teenager to learn as much aspossible. Being busy is a must for Luka because sitting still is not in his dictionary. Luka is always looking to unfold the wings of every story.

Luka Keunen studied at Kunsthumaniora Brussel from 2015 to 2021. In the first two years, he focused on music (singing) and transitioned into theater acting for his final four years.

He actively participated in various projects at school, involving acting, writing, photographing, and more. The school inspired Luka to step onto the set, where he discovered a new passion for camera work. This experience helped him to determine in wich field he wants to develop within the entertainment industry."

Luka had a penchant for exploring dark themes during his secondary years while working on individual projects. These themes possess a dual identity, adding an intriguing layer to his work.

He aspires for viewers to discern the complexity within these dark themes and experience the empathy he aims to evoke."

HARMED

The inspiration for 'HARMED' originated during the COVID-19 period when many teenagers grappled with challenges related to their self-image and life goals.

To delve deeper into this subject, he reached out to individuals within his age range and conducted interviews about the impact of the pandemic on their self-perception. The responses revealed feelings of confusion, self-hatred, and dissatisfaction with their life circumstances.

His photo project drew inspiration from the work of Damon Baker, a photographer known for his exploration of mental health themes and a distinctive dark photographic style

A guy must get rid of the evidence. Makes him question the consequences that may come out of it.

The purpose behind creating this short film was to familiarize himself with filming techniques involving a car and low-light settings. This process prompted him to carefully consider the shots required to effectively convey the narrative.

LAST MINUTES THEATHER ACT 2021

Savin, who has a dissociative identity disorder, is incarcerated, where he must confess to his actions, but will he be able to be honest with himself and others?

The inspiration for this final show stemmed from a film he produced in collaboration with Wajow Talent Factory. He dedicated a year to exploring and developing the same theme, ultimately shaping it into the final production.

After graduating from high school in 2021, Luka pursued a director course for television at RITCS.

He garnered valuable experience by engaging in diverse projects, ranging from multi-cam studio shows to podcasts. Throughout this journey, he discovered his preference for the single-cam format within the music and entertainment scene.

In his final year, he delved into the world of freelancing, acquiring the skills to handle clients professionally. He worked on Soundtrack “the competition” , take 5 and many more.

Simultaneously pursuing his bachelor's degree, he embarked on roles as a Director of Photography (DOP) and styling assistant on various sets, collaborating with Enft Terribles and many others.

BACHELOR CLASS HYBRIDE

You are leaving your familiar environment for the new and unknown. Along this journey to the new, you doubt. Do you return to the familiar or do you still go for the new?

Luka has worked together with his class on a dance set. The dancer Anneke Ghysens choreographed the dance and brought it to life. Meanwhile Luka made some social media posts and an after movie for this project.

INSTALATION REFLECTION CHAMBRE

A STIMULATION THAT COMES WITHIN OUR WORLD

Luka has made a reflection chambre to stand still with what stimulus affects us. We tend to get a lot of signals we can’t ignore. The reflection chambre helped with analyzing different sounds and giving them their own space. to reduce the stress and release it free in the room where you can lay down

His interest for acting came when he found a site at 11 years old where casting calls were put on. He immediately stared partcipating for auditions proces without any acting experiences. He got his first Disney Channel commercial in his first year trying.

Later on he went to Kunst Humaniora Brussels where he studied Theather - Drama and learned some technics. In the years he got casted in more audiovisual projects where he also found an interest in production and filming.

By working on several acting projects as a teen and taking audiovisual lessons at school, he developed a passion for filmmaking and photographing. He used to create video clips for his nieces when he was young, and many of his passions were visible back then.

After secondary school he attended the entrance exam at RITCS Audiovisual Arts and succeeded. Meanwhile, he worked as a lighting and styling assistant for various freelancers, where he gained a lot of experience. He also had the chance to experiment with photography during this period of assisting.

His experience with cameras began to develop in his first years of college. We learned directing and creating a multicam show where they implemented a quiz game and live music, and dance. He prefered his role as Art Director, who brings the show to life. It allows him to work around formats in a creative way he hasn’t done before.

he applied what he learned at school to his freelance job at Slash/9. They livestreamed several Rampage events and evening events, where Luka directed and operated handheld cameras. He also assisted with setting up and breaking down the sets, and he knows how to organize it correctly.

He started as a styling assistant for Kate Housh beginning of 2022, where he learned to communicate and work on tight deadlines. He had the honor to work on different projects where attention to detail led to good results.

The projects were very varied and gave him a good understanding of what is expected from a stylist. He also works on his own projects that will be coming up soon. In the next slide, you can see his past projects with various artists.

Coely is the Belgian Queen of Hip Hop, and he had the opportunity to assist stylist Kate Housh on various projects. He worked on the music video "Run it Up", and helped throughout the festival season 2022 and press photoshoots. Additionally, he had the honor of photographing a photoshoot himself after taking behind-the-scenes pictures.

FESTIVAL SEASON 22 OUTFITS

PRESS AND ALBUM "ALIVE" SHOOT

a 3 parted video clip series of ' Water Me ' the latest EP from singer-songwriter Babet. Luka assisted Matías Batalle as First assistant director while shooting BTS footage. The songs on the EP we filmed are Love of Self, How to Disappear, and Adonis.

Rimon is an upcoming R&B artist from the Netherlands. She is one of the most viewed artists on the YouTube channel "THE COLOR SHOW." Luka had the honor of assisting Kate Housh on her international project by building the wardrobe for Rimon during the Giveon tour in the United States.

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM GIVEON TOUR

Hoping to be able to work with his passion and creativity, he would like to continue building on what his past experiences have brought him. Keeping himself busy, he seeks to create diverse perspectives.

He is currently working on his bachelor exam, which will narrate the story of a boy who migrated to Belgium and tries to find his sense of home. He plans to tell this story through a web series, podcast storytelling, and more projects that will be revealed soon.
